Miss Saigon is a musical by Claude-Michel Schonberg and Alain Boublil. It tells the remarkable love story between an American G.I and a Vietnamese bar girl.

The set took place in 1973, when the Americans were fighting the Vietcongs. An American G.I, Chris, fell in love with a Vietnamese bar girl, Kim. Things were just great for the two love birds, until one day Chris had to leave Kim behind to go back to the USA. They got separated until three years later they met again. But that time, Chris was married and Kim was with a child (Chris’ son). Kim wanted her son to be an American, in order to do to that… she killed herself.

The story is kind of similar to Madame Butterfly, people can even say that it’s Madame Butterfly in the 1970’s.

Whatever people may say about this musical, I personally believe that this is a very good musical. This musical is a must see…
